    St. Charles Streetcar Route

    With mahagony seats, exposed ceiling bulbs and brass fittings, New Orleans' Street Cars date back to 1835 and are among the oldest continually operating streetcars in the world. The St. Charles route runs along St. Charles Avenue (Central Business District) and passes by several points of interest including dozens of antebellum mansions, the Audubon Zoological Gardens, historic monuments and many others.
